Jean Amison | Class of 1987
Housing Manager, City of Tallahassee

After graduating NFC, I attended Tallahassee Community College and then received my bachelor’s degree in English from Florida State University. Since 1990 I’ve been working in housing and human services grant and program management with local and state government offices. My recent position is with the City of Tallahassee where I serve as the Manager of the Housing Division within the Department of Housing and Community Resilience. I live in Tallahassee with my husband of over 30 years, have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. I am a certified Jazzercise FitPro Instructor, Senior Fourth Degree Black Belt, and Senior Certified Taekwondo Instructor. I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog, Max, taking family trips to the mountains or Disney, and reading.

I often wondered if my small Christian school education had me prepared for college, and then law school. I quickly learned that I was as well prepared, if not better prepared, than my college classmates for the rigors of college writing and classwork.
