Matt Root | Class of 2001
High School History Teacher, Community Christian School
<p>Matt is a high school history teacher at Community Christian School in Tallahassee, FL. Matt attended Notre Dame University on a football scholarship, and later transferred to Florida State University. He graduated from FSU on the Dean’s List with a degree in History.<br />
Following college, Matt attended Bible college and participated in several different missions trips. Matt has worked at CCS for three years. He and his wife Lauren, had their first child, Pierson, in June.<br />
Matt remembered his time at NFC by saying, “I got saved while in school at NFC. NFC prepared me for playing athletics at a very high level, set the coarse for my spiritual formation and gave me a lifelong appreciation and desire for learning.”</p>
